Centaflex-A Series Coupling

Centaflex-A Series Coupling

1. Applications:

Centaflex couplings are a type of highly flexible coupling used in various mechanical systems to connect two shafts while compensating for misalignment. They are designed to damp torsional vibrations and shocks, which protects the equipment from damage. The Centaflex-A series, for example, is known for its high performance and adaptability, suitable for a wide range of applications. These couplings can handle significant axial, radial, and angular misalignments and are available in different degrees of Shore hardness to increase torsional flexibility.

The CENTAFLEX couplings have been proven in many areas of mechanical engineering. The major area of application lies with diesel driven stationary and mobile equipment as well as a very wide range of industrial applications. The photographs below illustrate some typical examples of application:

Boat drives, mechanical conveying and handling, agricultural machinery, front power take-off on diesel engines for the most varied applications.

  • Widely used in the machine manufacturing industry, mechanical transmission, and systems requiring large shaft misalignment compensation, especially in high torque working environments. With strong load-bearing capacity and minimizing problems related to shaft misalignment and torsional vibration.
  • Mechanical transmission applications to minimize wear and increase working efficiency in transmission systems.
  • Applications in heavy industry: Machinery and equipment requiring high durability and the ability to withstand large torque.
  • Applications in systems working with high shaft misalignment: Couplings are used in systems requiring large shaft misalignment compensation without reducing performance.

2. Working temperature: -300C to 800C

3. Working environment: Couplings work in environments subject to impact and vibration, dust and humidity in machinery and equipment with rotating shafts.
