In shipyards, cable winches and their air brake or control actuators often run continuously under vibration and frequent on/off cycles. When an air diaphragm becomes hardened, cracks at the lip, or starts leaking, the system may suffer from incomplete brake release, jerky operation, loss of actuation force, and unstable performance.

- WHAT IS A CABLE WINCH AIR DIAPHRAGM?
This is a cup-type rubber rolling diaphragm designed to:
- Seal compressed air chambers inside an air pot / pneumatic cylinder
- Convert air pressure into pushing force to drive an actuator stroke
- Support brake release or actuator control in winch systems (depending on the machine design)
With its clamping lip and cup-style structure, it is suitable for air chambers that require high sealing reliability and smooth movement.

Cup-type rolling diaphragms are commonly found in:
- Air-released brake actuators on cable winches: compressed air enters the chamber → the diaphragm generates pushing force → the brake is released and load control remains stable
- Pneumatic control actuators for winches: assisting opening/closing actions driven by air signals
- Air clutch actuators (for winches equipped with pneumatic clutches), depending on the winch design
This part is especially suitable for shipyard conditions where equipment faces oil/grease, metal dust, humidity, and strict safety requirements.
