RUBBER BUTTERFLY VALVE SEAT WITH METAL BACKING RING
A Stable and Reliable Sealing Solution for Large-Diameter Industrial Butterfly Valves
In industrial pipeline systems, butterfly valves are widely used thanks to their compact design, light weight, and quick operation. However, achieving absolute sealing, minimizing leakage, and ensuring long-term operational stability depend largely on the quality of the rubber seat inside the valve.
The rubber butterfly valve seat with metal backing ring, manufactured by Anh Trí Tuệ Co., Ltd., is engineered specifically for these requirements. The product is ideal for butterfly valves from DN200 to DN450, operating in environments such as clean water, wastewater, food processing, mild chemicals, HVAC systems, cooling towers, and heavy industries.
A butterfly valve seat is a rubber ring installed inside the valve body and in direct contact with the valve disc. When the valve closes, the disc presses tightly against the rubber surface, forming a continuous 360-degree sealing line.
For small DN sizes, the seat may simply be a rubber ring fitted into the valve body.
However, for large DN sizes or higher pressure ratings, rubber alone may: deform under load, shift off-center, twist or bulge during bolt tightening, lose its shape over time
=> The optimal solution is to use a rubber seat reinforced with a metal backing ring, ensuring long-term dimensional stability and reliable sealing.
Directly contacts the valve disc.
Embedded within the rubber to:
The key component ensuring rigidity and form stability.
The metal ring maintains the original profile of the seat, ensuring no leakage and meeting Zero Leakage standards.
Even under strong bolt tightening or PN10–PN25 pressure, the seat does not bulge, deform, or collapse.
The cartridge-style design allows complete removal and replacement without disassembling the entire valve from the pipeline.
Easily manufactured based on old seat samples or valve body/disc dimensions from various imported brands.
The reinforced fabric and metal ring significantly increase durability.
Used in large-diameter butterfly valves in distribution, drainage, and recirculation systems.
Suitable for CIP systems, hot/cold water lines, and fluid transfer pipelines.
Wafer/lug-type butterfly valves requiring high sealing performance.
Cooling circuits, recirculation systems, and alkaline/acidic environments.
