1. WHAT IS A BUTTERFLY VALVE SEAL?

Butterfly valve is a valve used to regulate (or close/open pipelines) the flow in large pipe diameters by rotating the butterfly blades at different angles.

When we act on the lever, handwheel or steering wheel, it will act on the axis of the butterfly valve, causing the butterfly valve to rotate at different opening angles, then the throttle flow through the pipe will have different flow. Normally, in the fully closed state, the opening angle is 0 degrees, and when the valve is fully open, the vane rotates at an angle of 90 degrees relative to its center axis.

4. APPLICATION

Butterfly valve seals are often used in industry (mainly food industry, pharmaceutical industry,...). Butterfly valve rubber is usually made of EPDM rubber because EPDM is a rubber with stable hardness, high elasticity, good aging resistance, so most of the rubber seals from EPDM have very high durability. In addition, EPDM rubber is known to be a good synthetic rubber, safe for hygiene, safe with water sources, suitable for the food industry in particular and other industries in particular.
